ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The inspiration for this story comes from the author’s life-long interest in trains that began when he was a child and the people he has known, loved and admired. Among these individuals are those who generously volunteer their time, talents, and treasures to help create the beauty and wonder of the holiday season, and by their efforts, share their compassion and joy, hope and kindness, to bring the holiday spirit to life.
Before retiring as a minister of the United Church of Christ, Rev. Dr. William G. Grice, III served churches in Hyannis, Massachusetts, New Gloucester, Maine, and Des Plaines, Illinois. He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and Andover Newton Theological School. As an author, Dr. Grice continues to write a bi-monthly column – “Epiphanies” – for the Journal & Topics Media Group. He and his wife, Ann, have four adult sons, daughter-in-laws, and 15 grandchildren.
